In 2010, one of our extended community members created an obstacle course. It was first used at Queer Spirit Camp - which, at that time, was our program for gay and lesbian young adults. Then the men who came to Gay Spirit Camp were given an opportunity to try their skill and teamwork.
One of the tasks was to get silently through a "spiderweb" that had bells attached.
Another was to help each other get over a high wall.
Other tasks included walking blindfold guided only by a leader's hand claps. Another was to help each other get over a rolling hurdle called "the meat grinder."
What fun or challenging activites would you like to be part of at one of our camps? Let us know in the comment section below.
