Flashback Friday - Episode 6: Creativity at Easton Mountain.
In celebration of Easton’s 15th year; on Fridays, we are looking back to Easton’s past to see where we came from! Ever since we started having summer camps at Easton Mountain, they have included opportunities for painting and drawing. One popular activity has been making life masks. These masks are then painted and decorated in imaginative ways. Body painting has also been popular at summer camps. One summer, we combined mask making with body painting as a preparation for a bonfire that included drumming and dancing. Life drawing has also been popular. Less frequent but still popular activities have included modeling in clay and creating scarecrows. Camera bugs love the beautiful scenic vistas of Easton Mountain as well as our beautiful flower beds. In additional to visual arts, we've had workshops in writing, story telling, poetry, theatre and music - and some of the products of these workshops became part of a camp talent show. Every camp we've had has included opportunities to explore and express your imagination. How will you express your imagination this summer at Easton Mountain?
