Join like-minded gay, bi and queer men in exploring ancient shamanic healing techniques in this safe, experiential workshop. Learn the basic, core technique of the shamanic journey, a visionary method used to induce a natural, altered state of consciousness, that when used with intention, can nurture self-renewal, balance, and empowerment. Aided by drums, rattles, ceremony and sacred space, journey to the worlds of non-ordinary reality-–the shamanic state of consciousness--for information and healing. Gather with like-minded spirit seekers for awakening and restoring your dormant spiritual power, abilities, and your connections with Nature. Also, we'll work with a classic, shamanic divination technique for problem solving and learn how shamanism can be applied in contemporary, daily life to help heal oneself, others, and the Planet.
Modern shamanism is for everyone! No experience necessary. This workshop provides tools for personal growth and connection, and welcomes men from all religious and spiritual traditions. Join us for a weekend of community, fun and exploration!
Bring a drum and/or rattle, if you have them (we have extras to share);; a rock between the size of a large orange and grapefruit (not a crystal); pen and journal (electronic devices not allowed during workshop); eye covering to block out light; and blanket or something to lie on. We invite you to bring sacred items/totems to place on the altar we will create together.
