Winter Spirit Camp Facilitator: John first started his schooling at Educating Hands in Miami 1995 (National Certification), then Finger Lake School of Massage in Ithaca 1998, Swedish Institute 1999 (New York Licensed Massage Therapist). His massage technique encompasses a variety of styles, including Swedish, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, and aspects of Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian) and Trager.  He is also trained in specialized stretching techniques that can be incorporated into his massage sessions.  In addition to massage, he is also a licensed esthetician in providing facials and a variety of spa body treatments such as aroma wraps, body scrubs and salt glows.  His clients especially appreciate the creative blending of these styles and treatments to make each session a uniquely personalized, revitalizing and enjoyable experience. Sensual touch is available and unfortunately, erotic touch is not legal in New York State so, it is only facilitated as instructions to arouse your partner. He presently has a studio in Albany, NY called Bodyworks By Bowers (bodyworksbybowers.com) located at 225 Lark St,  He has previously been employed at Chelsea Piers Sports Center, Equinox Gym, Nickel Spa for Men, New York Sports Clubs, Aveda Salon & Spa (SoHo), West End Salon & Spa P-town, and Club Body Tech Miami Fl.

Homme, Sweet Homme – Our reporter goes where the boys (and only the boys) are – NYC’s sleek new Nickel: John, a buff, ponytail masseur who specializes in a traditional type of Hawaiian massage called Lomi Lomi.  Compared to other methods, in which the masseur slowly and deliberately works on particular parts of your body, Lomi Lomi is much more fluid.  John’s hands rapidly and forcefully glide across my body, and with vision of surfers skimming the ocean, I let myself go limp as I’m pummeled of all my stresses and strains.
— Quote from an article in Time Out New York Magazine (SPAS issue 2002) by Les Simpson

Assistant Facilitator:  Francis has an extensive medical background (Radiology Technologist and MRI Technologist).
