Rabbi Aaron Katz is the Senior Rabbi of Congregation Bnai Jacob in Jersey City. He combines his deep love of study with an engaging personality to attract and inspire Jews of all ages and from all walks of life. He has volunteered his time with charities such as Chicken Soup, Mazon, the LGBT Center and several homeless shelters. Before joining B’nai Jacob, he was the Senior Rabbi of Shofar in Los Angeles, CA, and has served as a congregational rabbi in Spain, Sweden, Poland, Miami Beach and Los Angeles. His work has been published in the USA, Sweden, Spain and Israel -- he is fluent in six languages. Aaron holds a Doctorate in Comparative Religion and Philosophy, a Masters Degree in Jewish Philosophy from Jerusalem and was appointed a Family Law Judge in Tel Aviv. He had the great honor of studying with Rabbi Kook z"l and Rabbi Shapiro z"l. He was ordained as a Rabbi in Israel, by both Chief Orthodox Sephardic Rabbi Yosef z"l and Chief Orthodox Ashkenazi Rabbi Goren z'l.
