Check out our segment on VICELAND TV's "Ball's Deep" with Thomas Morton. VICELAND sent Thomas Morton to Bear Week in Provincetown in July of 2015 for his show Balls Deep. They decided to film Freddy and Jay freeman as they demonstrated what might take place at a "Loving Our Bear Bodies" workshop. The real workshop has over 20 bears, and is too private to film fully.

Experience something new at Bear Week this year. Loving Our Bear Bodies will leave you feeling more empowered, more connected with your community, and sexy!

“Loving Our Bear Bodies” is returning  to Provincetown for for it's 3rd year at Bear Week! We will once again be at Strength & Clarity Pilates-Yoga in the heart of town, right on Commercial Street. We have scheduled our sessions earlier this time so you can join us and still get to Tea Dance at the Boatslip, which is right across the street!  The workshop is a personal and group journey to loving our own bodies and finding new ways to be intimate with others.

  • It taught me to find beauty and sensuality in every individual man.” Adam S.
  • It was a lovely experience that reaffirmed my sense of brotherhood with other gay men in a safe, sensual, playful space.” Richard C.
  • Almost NO ONE comes out of the LOVING OUR BEAR BODIES experience the same man he was when he went in … even the second, third or fourth time.” Ken F.

Loving Our Bear Bodies is an experience of group affirmation, sensuality, and appreciation. We create a safe environment for men to let their guard down and connect more deeply. This requires us to help one another shed our clothing and to witness one another, to let go of our shame and be truly vulnerable. I then guide us into sharing of affirmative intimate touch, honoring each other’s bodies and claiming our pleasure. We give and receive erotic energy, but it is not a sex party. It can be very sexy and arousing but our goal is to empower one another. Participants are asked to set their own boundaries, yet challenge their comfort zones in an atmosphere of mutual respect. It is designed to leave you feeling more empowered and supported by your brothers. By the end of the session hopefully we will feel more comfortable in our own skin and will have formed a tribal bond that we will carry with us when the session is done.” - Freddy Freeman - Facilitator of Loving Our Bear Bodies

This experience will create a safe environment for men to let their guard down and connect more deeply. It requires nudity and sharing of affirmative intimate touch, but it is not a sex party. Participants are asked set their own boundaries and challenge their comfort zones in an atmosphere of mutual respect. It is designed to leave you feeling more empowered and supported by your brothers. It is broken into four sections.

* Giving and Receiving.

How comfortable are we with both giving and receiving touch. Are we comfortable revealing our bodies in front of others? One on one, we will learn to see past our usual visual attractions to appreciate and validate the uniqueness in each of our bodies.

* Asking and Providing.

Are you able to ask for what you want in intimate situations? Are you willing to give someone else what he asks for? We will break into small groups and take turns being the focus of attention.

* Group Affirmation.

We will come back as a group to reaffirm the affection and intimacy we have developed in the first 2. The goal here is to feel the brotherly love we have developed through touch as a group for each individual participant.

The nature of these exercises is to be very sensual and erotic without being explicitly sexual. While intimate touch, fondling, and hugging are encouraged, explicit sexual interaction is not part of this process. Previous participants have stated that this experience has opened their eyes to a new acceptance of their personal physical presence as well how they view their own sexuality and that of those they become involved with.

We hope you can join us for this unique experience!
