MEN'S LABOR DAY RETREAT
Creativity & Beauty: Being Our Own Original Creations
Facilitated by John Salvato,
Frank Carson, and Guest Facilitator John Ballew
Friday, September 3 - Monday, September 6, 2010
Join us for the Annual Labor Day Retreat,
a gathering of men focused on experiencing personal
inner growth and building community. This year we will
celebrate our inner creativity and beauty. No artistic
ability needed, just a willingness to play and explore.
At Labor Day, we each take the risk of sharing our deepest
inspirations and aspirations with each other. What emerges
is magic; we connect with each other from a new place
of intimacy, creating new self-awareness, and perhaps
making lifelong friendships—this is one of the
retreat’s greatest gifts.
In large and small group activities,
we will draw from our personal inner beauty to create
and play in a supportive community. Other workshops
will include breath and movement, poetry, different
expressions of art and playfulness. Through sharing
our experiences, we can expand the power we have as
gifted and colorful gay men.
We invite you to join our community:
Bring your gifts, struggles, and dreams. There will
be plenty of time to connect with old and new friends
and to relax in a beautiful environment. |

He is currently teaching at a small Long Island college,

gay community called Sports for Fairies that, in a playful,
non-threatening way explores feelings and memories of
dreaded gym classes. Everybody becomes first on the team.
