BODYWORKERS IN TOUCH
A Weekend Retreat for Massage Therapists and Other Hands-On Healers

We invite you to join us in creating a relaxing and delicious three-day “playshop.” This weekend is about rest and renewal for people who spend their working hours doing massage, physical therapy, yoga/Pilates instruction, sacred intimates and other health care practitioners.

Bodyworkers hold a special place in today’s world. In a high-tech culture, we provide a human touch. In a health care system that prefers to treat by prescription, we provide hands-on healing. We pride ourselves on selfless service and we’re privileged to love what we do. We’re also notoriously lax about self-care and often starved for community.

At this retreat, there will be opportunities to share specialty skills and exchange sessions with other professionals. There will also be formal and informal conversations about boundaries, burnout, skillful use of erotic energy, and other topics that pertain to the field. Plus plenty of soul-nourishing downtime for sunbathing, swimming, hiking, and recharging your batteries by enjoying Easton’s lovely grounds, sauna, and hot tub.

Note: This is not a training for beginners or aspiring bodyworkers but a retreat for people with an established professional practice.

Robert Bruillard (left) has a passion for acting as a catalyst for change and as mentor for self empowerment in the gay men's community. To this end, bodywork and breathwork have been the key to opening the path back to self love. In 1996, he founded Bodyworkers of Boston, a collective of private holistic practitioners. He is a level 2 Thai-Yoga practitioner and instructor having studied extensively at Kripalu and in Thailand. Robert is also an assistant with Body Electric's intensive programs, and Authentic Eros workshops. He facilitates men’s groups locally and at Easton Mountain, and skillfully works in the modality of Sacred-Intimate healing. He began breathwork in 2000, and since 2005, has been involved with the Power of Breath Institute assisting in breath workshops locally and internationally.

Don Shewey (center) is a writer and pleasure activist in New York City. He’s especially grateful for the opportunity to support and encourage brotherhood, self-care and healing among gay male healers. He is a Body Electric School-trained masseur and sacred intimate as well as a certified gestalt therapist, and his private practice specializes in sex and intimacy coaching. Robert “Wolfie” Wolf (right) is already counting the days to the third annual Bodyworkers in Touch retreat. Everything he finds soul-affirming about bodywork is brought to life by the men who have participated in the past, making this retreat a transformative weekend. In his professional life, 9/11 launched a transition from the corporate world to a career in the healing arts, which began with a 100,000 mile backpacking journey around the globe. A graduate of both the Esalen and Swedish Institutes, he currently maintains an integrative bodywork practice in New York City, where he supports clients in finding peace in their bodies and balance in their lives.
