WINTER GAY SPIRIT CAMP
A Weekend of Communal Warmth in the Midst of Winter
Hosted by John Stasio and Harry Faddis with Douglas Allen, Jason Bradford,
and Michael James Gordillo
Friday, February 17 - Monday, February 20, 2012

Come out of your hibernation and join us for the first annual Winter Gay Spirit Camp! This extension of our popular Gay Spirit Camp will blaze warmth and creative circulation throughout your body, mind, and spirit! From snuggling and saunas to building snowmen and ice skating, this retreat will enable you to shake off the winter blues, solidify established community, and create new friendships.

In addition to fun and creative workshops there will be built in free time to enjoy the usual amenities Easton offers such as hot tub, massage and daily yoga. So shake off those winter blues and prepare your fireside stories!

Your brothers,
Doug, Michael James and Jason

Douglas Allen graduated from Michigan State University's Theatre program with a B.A. in 1998. He has been engaged with acting, The American Mime Theatre, modern dance, and Butoh at venues such as The Joyce Soho, Jacob's Pillow, The National Arts Club, Lincoln Center, La Mama E.T.C. and DTW. Along with collaborating extensively with Michael Freeman, he is a member with Ollom Movement Art, and toured the east coast with the Jungian production of "M.U.D." (Men Under Dirt), where he played Shiva, The Divine Masculine. Douglas was most recently seen in "Tickets to Manhood," a play by James Scruggs about rites of passage in gay men. Feral Press has published a collection of his poetry, Weathervanes; and he has tutored and taught writing workshops at The LBGT Center and at Easton Mountain. Douglas loves owls and all shades of purple, and gives love and gratitude to his partner, Roger McKeever.

Jason Bradford recently left a twenty-year career in hospitality and sales to find more meaning and purpose in his life. His search started with recovery in February 2010, and that path lead him to Easton in the summer of 2011 for Easton's first recovery camp. He stayed on to volunteer for the remainder of the summer and fall. Community, connection and brotherhood quickly became the most profound sources of healing. Jason looks forward to growing as a sober, gay man and helping others along the same path. He is co-host of the NYC Living Soulfully group and plans to become a resident of Easton in April 2012. His interests include yoga, dance, writing, gardening and smiling.

Michael James Gordillo, who has been living and volunteering at Easton Mountain for almost a year, is a native New Yorker, world traveler, and spiritual explorer. His joyful spirit is balanced with a wild sense of adventure. He approaches life with a bold heart and challenges those around him to live passionately and truthfully. Michael's expressive nature is rooted in his spiritual practice of self-discovery and living in community.
