Lives are like maps which trace the paths of spiritual journeys. When you consciously choose to identify and embrace your spirituality, something shifts and you can move forward with renewed inner strength, purpose and creativity. Yet for you, as a gay man, the notion of having a deeply spiritual life may be challenging. The homophobia in many of our religious traditions has created needless suffering, causing many of us to feel disconnected from spiritual life.
In this retreat we explore how you can live a deeply soulful life. We will address the connection between spirituality and religion. We will also work with the unique challenges and opportunities that you face as a gay man. You will look at various spiritual practices, and use your own life as a template to move toward your deepest calling.
Using tools from spiritual psychology, body work, and meditation, John will guide you in a period of inquiry into the nature of a life soulfully lived. He will help you move toward a renewed sense of self in relation to your Soul and your community.
