Flashback Friday, Episode 26 - Winters Past
One thing you can be sure of about winters at Easton Mountain - you can be certain of uncertainty. It can be bitter cold one day and above forty the next. We can have muddy ground during the day and ice under foot at night. We can go to bed with no snow on the ground and wake up to a winter wonderland, as we did in 2008, when these photos were taken.
A few of us like to view that beauty while tramping through snow topped by a thin layer of ice crunching under our feet.
The rest of us may prefer to enjoy the beauty looking through the window of the Great Room - with a roaring fire in the fireplace.
Whatever Jack Frost brings us this coming February, you can be sure that, come February 12, the magic of Easton will make this the perfect place for Winter Spirit Camp- the place to be if you love winter.
