In celebration of connection and recovery, Wyatt will guide us through a transformative Sound Journey—a meditative experience using instruments such as flutes, singing bowls, gongs, and voice to invite relaxation, clarity, and emotional release. Held in sacred community on the first night of our retreat, this immersive experience sets the tone for the days ahead. Participants are invited to recline, soften, and allow waves of sound to gently unwind the nervous system, center the heart, and awaken the spirit. This journey is for everyone—whether you're new to sound healing or returning to it as part of your recovery practice. Come as you are, and leave feeling grounded, open, and more deeply attuned to yourself and those around you.

Participants will walk away with strengthened skills, including how to communicate preferences, navigate boundaries, and will have a deeper understanding of consent.

  • 1:00 pm – Lunch

  • 2: 30 pm – Death Café with Harry F. Great Room (75 Minutes)
Starting in the U.K. in 2010, the Death Cafe provides a space for people, often strangers, to gather and eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death. It's very simple. The Death Cafe is a social franchise, in that we agree to host the gathering to follow the guidelines outlined in the website: www.deathcafe.com. It is important to notice that the Death Cafe is about our deaths: our awareness of it, our fears and ideas, our struggles and beliefs, etc. The Death Cafe is not about grief over the deaths of others. (That's another topic). Rather than becoming glum after a Death Cafe, people report being energized and positive about life; they find the discussion refreshing, speaking and hearing others talk simply about a taboo topic

    • OR Step 3: Turning It Over: Exploring Surrender Through Creativity with Scott L. - Temple (75 Minutes)
Building on Step Two’s exploration of “a power greater than ourselves,” this workshop invites participants to take the next courageous step: Turning it over. Step Three asks us to make a conscious decision to begin building a relationship with that higher power — however we understand it. Through a combination of reflective arts and crafts, brief personal shares, and a guided creative prompt, we’ll explore what surrender, trust, and spiritual connection mean in our own recovery journeys. This is a space to express yourself freely, connect with others, and create a tangible way to work Step Three in a supportive, hands-on environment.

  • 4:00 pm – Shinkin Yoku: The Simplicity of Forest Bathing with Wyatt M. - Meet at Temple (2 hours)
This Japanese practice of PREVENTIVE health is all about the significance of understanding how the human body responds to the natural world. Think about what it feels like to be in the forest— to be surrounded by ancient giants with bright, soft leaves and deep protective roots. You hear the water running through the veins of the earth and each small creature kept safe and alive in the pristine expanse of green canopy.  What can you touch? Smell? This is the essence of shinrin-yoku, or the intentional act of becoming immersed and finding repose in the quiet embrace of mother earth.

Composer Pauline Oliveros' practice of “deep listening” comes from her conviction that the act of listening is very close to the experience of consciousness. We will 'perform' two of her "Sonic Meditations," using our voices to expand our awareness of the present moment. It is a contemplative, immersive and community-building practice, open to any level of musical or vocal skill.

Late Night Activities

  • There will be a late night Play Space starting Thursday night in the Temple Loft

    • Play Space Guidelines: Mutual Respect, Consent, and Recovery-Centered Care

This space exists to support connection, safety, and embodied, erotic play. All participants are asked to engage with mutual respect and kindness toward themselves and others.

      We encourage you to:

      • Practice clear consent and communication: Set your boundaries and honor others’. Ask before touching. Give a “no” with kindness, and receive a “no” with grace.

      • Be mindful and sober: Whether you're navigating recovery from substances, sex/love addiction, eating disorders, gambling, or other patterns, we invite you to make decisions that support your healing. Plan ahead. Call your sponsor. Bring an accountability buddy. Choose how and whether you engage based on what keeps you grounded in your recovery.

      • Check in before joining a scene: Always make sure you are explicitly invited before entering or engaging in a scene in progress.

      • Know your support options: You may encounter hosts, volunteers, presenters, and facilitators in the space. Each person, including you, is responsible for setting clear boundaries, communicating needs, and respecting the boundaries of others. If something feels off, you are always free to step out, speak up, or seek support.

      • Prioritize sobriety and safety: Consent requires clarity. If you’re unsure, pause. Rest. Breathe. Reconnect to your intentions and your tools. You never have to trade safety for connection.

This is a space for dignity, care, curiosity, and healing. You are welcome exactly as you are, and your presence—sober, authentic, and self-aware—is enough.

  • The sauna will be available nightly at 9:30 pm

  • There is a closet full of games in the Great Room you can play together!
