Our Mission

Easton Mountain is a community, retreat center, and sanctuary created by gay men as a gift to the world. Through workshops, programs, and events we provide opportunities to celebrate, heal and transform. We offer this land, rich in beauty and wisdom, as a home to a community that extends beyond the land. We are a worldwide fellowship of people enriched by our connection to Easton Mountain. This fellowship is a force for positive change in the world.

We value:

  • Each individual's spiritual path and the quest for connection and understanding;

Community

At Easton Mountain, the concept of community is at the core of everything we do. Our mission is built on the foundation of fostering connections, cultivating relationships, and creating a space where individuals can feel a sense of belonging and support. Our community is diverse, made up of people from various backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. It includes residents, guests, and all those influenced by Easton Mountain.

Our on-site residents live together and play essential roles within the organization. They are committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive community environment. Volunteers generously give their time to enhance the experiences of all who come to the land. Guests from around the world attend workshops and events, enriching our community. Facilitators and teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help individuals on their personal journeys. Partner organizations renting our space help extend the reach of our mission, and we appreciate the support of local organizations and neighbors.

Retreat

At Easton Mountain, our programs and facilities provide an opportunity to re-connect with nature in serene surroundings. Guests can enjoy nourishing and delicious meals, unwind in our sauna or hot tub, indulge in massage, partake in energizing yoga sessions, find inspiration for creative endeavors like writing and art, and take time for personal reflection.

At the heart of our events and retreats is the idea of community. We believe in the power of connection and provide opportunities for participants to bond with each other through group activities, shared meals, and heartfelt conversations. Our events and retreats include meditation, yoga, nature walks, fun social activities, personal growth, arts workshops and lots more; they are designed to inspire, rejuvenate, and empower individuals on their journey of personal growth and self-discovery. Sanctuary

At Easton Mountain, we offer sanctuary to those who seek refuge. We provide a safe haven where people can escape persecution and discrimination, granting them the freedom to express their faith, create art, and engage in personal healing and recovery.

Many LGBT young adults experience homelessness and rejection from their families. Our “Queer Spirit Camp” for LGBT young adults provides a nurturing environment where they can feel accepted and supported. Through a variety of activities and workshops, they can explore their identities, build connections, and cultivate a sense of belonging.

We invite creatives to immerse themselves in a tranquil setting conducive to inspiration and self-expression. Here, artists can freely explore their craft, collaborate with peers, and tap into their creative potential without judgment or constraints.

There are so many people suffering from loneliness, recovering from addictions, grieving the loss of loved ones and more. We offer a space for those seeking to heal their bodies, minds, and spirits. Our programs can provide the nurturing and non-judgmental environment needed to explore a journey of self-discovery, recovery, and transformation.

Volunteering can be a transformative experience for those seeking solace and sanctuary. Through volunteering, individuals can shift their focus from their own challenges to supporting others, leading to a profound sense of fulfillment and well-being. It is a powerful reminder that even in times of need, there is strength in reaching out and making a positive impact on the world around us.

Easton Mountain offers hope and healing for those in need of a place to reset and recharge or reconnect with oneself and others. Our commitment to providing sanctuary extends to all who walk through our doors, fostering a community built on inclusivity, compassion, and acceptance.
