Getting to Easton Mountain.
There are several options for getting to Easton Mountain:
Easton Mountain is located in the Hudson Valley approximately 30 miles North of Albany, New York and conveniently located within a three-hour drive of Boston, New York City, and Montreal. See below for turn by turn directions.

You can fly into the Albany airport, take the Megabus or AMTRAK to Albany (Rensselaer Station), or take the Greyhound/Trailways to Albany

+ From Boston
- Take the Mass Pike (I-90) West into New York state and continue on I-90 West marked “NY Thruway-Albany”. You will need to collect another ticket at a toll booth in New York state.
- Take exit B1, marked “Albany-Hudson”, where you will pay a toll. This is a continuation of I-90.
- Continue about 12 miles to I-787, marked “Albany-Troy”. Stay to the right and exit onto I-787 North to Troy.
- Take exit 9E onto state route 7E toward Troy.
- Go over Hudson River bridge on state route 7E, moving toward left lane. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto state route 40N.
- Travel 20.7 miles making sure to stay on 40N. Turn right onto Vly Summit Road. Clue: It’s the first right after a green sign with white lettering saying “North Easton”.
- Travel 1.2 miles and make your second left onto Herrington Hill Road. Clue: there’s a sign for Willard Mountain.
- Travel .7 miles on Herrington Hill Road, at which point it becomes a dirt road. Continue another 1.1 miles on Herrington Hill Road. Yes, it really is a road.
- Make a left into driveway with the Easton Mountain sign – #391 on the mailbox. Come up the driveway, bearing to the left at the Y at the top of the hill. Follow the driveway down to the end, and come on in!
+ From New York
- Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) North to 787( exit 23) off of Thruway.
- Continue about 5 miles north on I-787, then take exit 9E onto state route 7E toward Troy.
- Go over Hudson River bridge on state route 7E, moving toward left lane. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto state route 40N.
- Travel 20.7 miles making sure to stay on 40N. Turn right onto Vly Summit Road. Clue: It’s the first right after a green sign with white lettering saying “North Easton”.

+ From North
- Take I-87 south to Exit 15 (Route 50). Turn left at end of off-ramp and cross over highway.
- Get into right lane, proceed a quarter-mile (0.4 Km), and turn right at 2nd light onto Weibel Ave, just before shopping centers. Clue: There’s a green sign with white lettering that says “Schyulerville 9” and another sign that says “TO 29”.
- Take Weibel Road about 1 mile (1.6 Km) to the end, and turn left at light onto Route 29 East. Stay on 29E for about 9 miles (14.5 Km) until you reach the intersection of Route 4 in Schuylerville. (NOTE: The sign will read “Route 4S/Route 29E”.)
- Turn right onto Route 4/Route 29 and proceed a quarter-mile (0.4 Km). Then turn left again at the first light to stay on Route 29E.
- Take Route 29E for about 3 more miles (4.8 Km), crossing the Hudson River and proceeding up a hill.
- Shortly past the Washington County Fairgrounds (which will be on your left), you will see a lawn & farm equipment store on your left. Take your next right onto Route 40 South.
- Take Route 40 South about 6 miles (9.7 Km). Then turn left onto Vly Summit Road. Clue: It’s the first left after a green sign with white lettering saying “North Easton”. Slow down and start looking once you see this sign, as the road sign for Vly Summit Road is partially hidden by a white house on the corner right before you turn.
- Travel 1.2 miles (1.9 Km) and make your second left onto Herrington Hill Road. Clue: there’s a sign for Willard Mountain.
- Travel .7 miles (1.1 Km) on Herrington Hill Road, at which point it becomes a dirt road. Continue another 1.1 miles(1.7 Km) on Herrington Hill Road. Yes, it really is a road.
