Peter Mellett
Peter started on the road to recovery in a church basement across the street from Boot N Saddles on Christopher St in NYC in 1988, where he heard the much-needed advice: “The war is over and you lost.”
It has been quite a journey and many roads over the years, from NYC to Cape Cod and points south and west. One road has taken him to Easton Mtn., where he began yet another new journey on his recovery road. The coming together of men in a setting of love, compassion, and understanding was the ingredient so welcome in his recovery. Since coming to Easton Mtn., he has been active in many retreats; from leading workshops like “The Naked Truth,” to crazy lip-synching, yodeling drag.
It is his great honor to be a part of this retreat. Bringing men together to share, listen, and be a part of each other’s lives, to know that they are valued and valuable; these are some of the joys he has found and hopes others will experience too.
