Danny Ochoa
Danny Ochoa was born in Medellin, Colombia. He started dancing at a very young age and participated in different competitions in his native country. In 2010, he moved to the United States where he began to share his passion for dancing through Zumba. At the same time, he began his career as a health educator. In 2012, Danny moved to New York City, where he worked as a health educator for the Latino Commission on AIDS. Danny also coordinated and facilitated different workshops for support groups for gay men and people living with HIV. Danny also began his career as a drag queen and through dance helped educate communities about internalized homophobia. In 2021 Danny moved to Boston and began working at a hospital where he worked as a Prevention Coordinator for the community and taught Zumba classes at a local dance studio.
