Jason Steidl Jack

Jason Steidl Jack is a gay Catholic theologian, ministry leader, and advocate for LGBTQ people in the Roman Catholic Church. His first book, LGBTQ Catholic Ministry: Past and Present (Paulist Press, 2023), examines the successes and challenges of the LGBTQ Catholic Movement, and his popular writing regularly appears in media such as New Ways Ministry's Bondings 2.0, America Media's Outreach, and National Catholic Reporter. He is a full time professor of religious studies who lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his husband, Damian. In his free time, Jason enjoys hiking, trips to the Botanical Gardens, and singing Sacred Harp, a traditional form of American folk hymnody.
