Vito Abate
Vito Abate has been coming to Easton Mountain as a camper and facilitator for more than a decade—and it quite literally changed his life. It introduced him to an incredible community of men and lifelong friendships and inspired him to become a certified life and mental health coach. Today he is a Fellow Coach with Modern Health and also has a private coaching practice. In both roles, he brings his genuine curiosity about people, along with humor and enthusiasm, partnering with clients to discover new possibilities.
Originally from Queens, New York, Vito has spent much of his life in the theater as an actor, director, and producer. His journey has taken him from The New Yorker magazine to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and through professional and community theaters in North Carolina and Massachusetts. Now based in the Greater Boston area, he continues to direct and perform, while judging theater festivals in North Carolina and high school musical theatre for the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild.
A self-taught videographer since the days when video cameras were the size of small appliances, he's looking forward to sharing one of his favorite creative pursuits by making a video with fellow campers—conceived, filmed, and brought to life right on the spot. He is also a dog dad with two dogs and a partner. vitoabate.com
