Our Mission

Easton Mountain is a community, retreat center and sanctuary created by gay men as a gift to the world.

We commit to living lightly on the earth, promoting social justice, and celebrating together. We vow to spread beauty and encourage creativity. We value openness and a radical hospitality, which seeks to embrace all others as sisters and brothers. We respect the wisdom of the body, the interdependence of all life, and non-violence in the resolution of conflicts. We promote peace and freedom for all. We seek an ever-deepening connectedness to self, others, and all of creation.
— John Stasio, founder

Easton Mountain is sustained by the gifts, talents and efforts of many:

Members of Easton’s on-site residential community live and work together, and keep the fire burning!

Volunteers give their time and energy to operations, as well as special projects and operations.

Teachers and workshop facilitators offer their knowledge and experience, guiding and holding space

Local neighbors and businesses contribute to groundskeeping, infrastructure installation and keeping the kitchen stocked.

Guests from around the world come together for our retreats & events, or to host and participate in rental gatherings.

Donors, who offer financial gifts and donations, allow Easton Mountain to keep pace with the fluctuations of economy, and are of priceless significance when it comes to larger upgrades and improvements.

Retreat

Easton Mountain is a place for healing, connection and discovery!

Stepping out of the day-to-day, into an intentional time and space, offers the opportunity for stillness and reflection, exploration and play, rejuvenation and nourishment.

Events and retreat workshops here invite space for personal development and connection with others. Take a look through our schedule of events & retreats to see what’s coming up. We aim to keep our events and retreats accessible by offering financial scholarships when possible.

Sanctuary

Easton Mountain is a sanctuary, a refuge, a safe haven, a landing pad, a creative cocoon, an incubator of inspiration, a place of peace.

Our programs and property are rich soil for creativity, discovery and transformation, removed from the pressure, perception or expectations of the “outside world”.

Compassion, generosity and inclusivity are foundational to the spirit of Easton Mountain. The emotional, spiritual wounds and scars we collect, and the armor we carry as a result, are set down and soothed here.
