ONGOING PHOTO PROJECT: Picture it with Dave Dietz
Working together, with a Polaroid camera and instant film, we will create a photo collage with the theme of “Bear Your Soul: Winter Hibernation.” You can go come up with one adjective (or descriptive word) you feel matches any single word of the theme (i.e. “hairy” for Bear, “ethereal” for Soul, or “snowy” for Winter) then write it on a slip of paper and put it into the box. Then randomly choose a slip of paper from the same box with a descriptive word written by someone else. Next, you will take the camera (for 20 minutes or less) and take one photo that represents the word you have selected from the box. Then return the camera, and clip your single photo to a display board, growing the collage as each new picture is added. Note: The camera, paper, box, project instructions and photo clip board will be located at a station on the landing of the stairs in the main lodge!

BEAR DEN VISION:
Bear Your Soul aims to provide men with a holistic experience of themselves and others. For some of us, erotic expression plays a role in that journey, and for others it does not. That is why we provide a space for participants to explore erotically that is different from what you might encounter at a typical bear event. Our community has a vision for what our play space can be, and we invite you to use it in the spirit of this vision. We invite you to take care of yourself, set boundaries, and yet see what it's like to stretch and to give gifts to others when you can. Please remember to communicate with each other and to make sure everything is consensual. If you are struggling with anything about using this space, you can talk to your small group members and leader, and/or a Bear Your Soul host. Also, many of the workshops can help you to navigate and use this space for your growth and enjoyment.
Note: Bear Your Soul hosts, presenters, facilitators and volunteers are peer leaders having their own experience in their free time, so they are also invited to use the space. You are encouraged to set boundaries with anyone in the space and to say "Yes" to what works for you, and a loving "No" to what does not.
