Couple’s Retreat ‘25

About the Community Share

On Saturday and Sunday morning, we will gather in groups to discuss a topic. (The topics are listed at the end of this schedule). The group leader will introduce the topic, and each member will have a few minutes to share their thoughts and feelings about it. We encourage everyone to participate, as this activity fosters bonds among participants and provides an opportunity to explore and learn about topics that may not typically be discussed in our daily lives. If you are unable to attend, please inform your group leader. Your group number and leader's name will be announced during the opening circle, along with the meeting location.

    • Or Discovering Intimacy: The Rich Tapestry of Human Connection - Temple - with Jim Sable
Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of human connection in this workshop.  In a world  where words make up only 7% of communication, embark on a journey into the heart of  genuine connection with your partner.  This workshop delves into various ways non-verbal communication leads to greater  intimacy. Explore discovery sessions focusing on intimacy, particularly through the  profound language of touch, and uncover the artistry of non-verbal cues and body  language. Our skin, housing thousands of nerve endings, becomes a canvas of  sensations contributing to the tapestry of our connections. Engage in activities centered  around touch to discover intense meaningful connections and heightening awareness in  the process.  Whether you're looking to enhance existing relationships or embark on an emotional  discovery, this workshop provides a safe, enriching space to nurture profound intimacy  beyond words. Join us to unravel the secrets of enduring connections and learn to  speak the language of the heart without fixating on words.

  • 5:00 pm - Expressive Love - Great Room - with Douglas Kay
In this workshop you and your partner will explore creativity, self-expression, and connection through the various artistic mediums of Life Drawing, Drag, and Photography. Begin your journey with a life drawing session, where you’ll take turns capturing each other’s beauty and essence on paper, celebrating form and spirit in a supportive and affirming environment (no drawing skill is required). Feel free to bring your own sketchbook and preferred drawing supplies, otherwise paper, pencils and easels will be provided. Next, we will take advantage of Easton Mountain's extensive drag closet to transform each other into fabulous personas. Assist each other in experimenting with makeup, costumes, and accessories to embody your inner divas, expressing yourselves authentically and fearlessly. Finally, embark on a photography adventure using the camera on your smartphone, or bring along your personal camera to capture stunning images of each other in or out of your drag. Explore different poses, settings, and angles to create captivating portraits that reflect the love, beauty, and creativity of your relationship. Throughout the workshop, enjoy bonding moments with your partner and fellow participants, fostering a sense of community and support. Leave with newfound skills, awareness, and a collection of artwork and photographs that celebrate your love and individuality.

  • 8:00 pm - Massage for Couples - Great Room - with Jose Austin

When it comes to massaging your partner expressing how much you care need not be limited to the boundaries and standards of professional practitioners. Intimacy and eros are key to unlocking passion as we explore our partners body with loving touch. Although this workshop will be erotic in nature, couples may operate at whatever level is comfortable in a group setting, in the hope of taking away new ideas to be used in the privacy of the bedroom. This massage workshop is clothing optional.

  • 9:30 am - Walking the Path of Medicine Wheel, A Shamanic Love Journey - Great Room - with Anthony Dissen
Many forms of shamanic and indigenous medicine practices use the sacred imagery of the wheel. Representing seasons of nature, seasons of life, as well as the path we take from birth to death, the medicine wheel provides for the beautiful set of symbols, themes, and patterns to follow as we move through the experiences of life and of growth. This can be a beautiful and powerful tool to assist us as we navigate the seasons of our relationships, especially with the person or the people that we love. This workshop will introduce participants to the medicine wheel, the four directions, and what each represent for ourselves individually, as well as collectively. We will then move into a guided meditation, hand in hand with the person or the people that we have come to this retreat with, in order to walk and journey together to see where our relationship began, how we have grown, and what lies ahead of us. We will end with an offering to the land and to our queer ancestors as we deepen our relationship and connection with them.
