Winter Gay Spirit Camp 24
About the Community Share
On Saturday and Sunday morning, we will gather in groups to discuss a topic. (The topics are listed at the end of this schedule). The group leader will introduce the topic, and each member will have a few minutes to share their thoughts and feelings about it. We encourage everyone to participate, as this activity fosters bonds among participants and provides an opportunity to explore and learn about topics that may not typically be discussed in our daily lives. If you are unable to attend, please inform your group leader. Your group number and leader's name will be announced during the opening circle, along with the meeting location.

9:00 pm “Dillon’s Rodeo” with Dillon Diaz (Temple)
This workshop is designed to be an icebreaker, allowing you to get comfortable in this space with the other cowboys thereby setting the tone for the rest of our time together. Everyone will be asked to sit in a single file circle after they enter the room. I’ll give a little talk about boundaries and consent. Then I will ask you to look to your right and tell the person there how you’re feeling in this moment and allow them to do the same. As you start to feel more comfortable remove an article of clothing and help your new friend remove theirs. Look to your left and tell the person there what you’re hoping to gain from this weekend and allow them to do the same. As you start to feel even more comfortable, remove even more articles of clothes until we are all totally nude. You may choose to walk around and get to know some of the other cowboys while listening to a playlist curated for the occasion.

Qigong is a beautiful system of healing that unites body, mind, and breath for physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing. And it can also be an amazing practice for cultivating better sexual health for yourself and when engaging with others! This fun and interactive workshop will introduce you to the foundational practices of Qigong that can be used to promote and sustain your health and vitality while also gaining deeper insight into your own sexual energy body. We will start with a gentle and easy Qigong practice that can help you awaken your sexual energies for personal health and wellbeing and circulate this energy throughout the body. Next, we will partner up and learn ways to exchange this beautiful energy with other people so that we can exchange our sexual energy with our partner or partners during intimate play to deepen our connections and heighten our ecstatic experiences. This practice is open to all levels of experience and physical ability status, and accommodations can be easily adapted as needed to suite everyone’s individual needs.
or - “Erotic Flow” with Ed Barron (Temple)
'Erotic Flow' is about consciously generating and experiencing the flow of erotic energy within us. We all were created out of erotic energy. It is the energy of creation. When you were conceived, the driving force behind the passion was erotic energy. The pleasure that drives this passion is our birthright. Using the tools of Mindfulness and Meditation we will awaken and explore our erotic energy as it builds and flows through our bodies. By focusing sensations, you can enter the flow and ride the waves of erotic energy.

Through the use of pressure, rhythm, vibration, and gliding strokes, givers will use the canvas of several random partners to freely express themselves through touch, and create a work of art. This workshop is designed to allow participants to enjoy giving massage as much as receiving. Every creation will be a masterpiece that lives in the imagination of each participant, and which only their partners can feel.

With everything going on in the world, it is important that we understand our trans and non-binary siblings in the LGBTQ community. Let's unpack gender stereotypes, moving beyond the binary, and what needs exist within our own communities back home. Easton is all about self-discovery, so let's learn together and make the world a little better and safer for our siblings

This is valuable for Easton because it will help participants relax and connect with spirit.

9:30-? pm “Dillon Tantric Experience” with Dillon Diaz (Temple)
This workshop is designed to teach and provide tantric mindfulness and sensations. Half the room will wear a blindfold and be the receivers of various forms of stimulation. The other half of the room will be givers. Every 5 minutes or so the givers will be asked to circulate around the room to the next receiver providing a new sensation. The time for this workshop will be divided in half so that the givers can experience being receivers too. I encourage people to step out side of their comfort zone and make space for some role reversal. If you consider yourself a giver in life then allow yourself to start this workshop as a receiver. Likewise if you consider yourself a receiver in life then start this workshop as a giver. We’ll end the workshop in a Tantric puppy pile cuddled and snuggled.

John will start with you on the floor through a series of stretches and warm ups to find out where your body responds to movement. As we come to standing, we will listen to energetic and internal landscapes inside us that guide our movement. We will then flow into a free expression that encourages us to touch, move and flow in and with other men. This helps us find how connection and or lack of connection speak to us. No words are spoken through our mouths, but our bodies will embody our energy and our authentic expressions. Come join our contact and let improvisation guide your explorations with other men

2:30-3:45 pm “The Liberated Cowboy-Moving Beyond Toxic Masculinity” with Anthony Dissen (Great Room)
What does it mean to be a liberated man? What does it mean to be free of toxic masculinity, and what exactly is toxic masculinity in the first place? This workshop will be an open discussion and dialogue on the subjects of exploring what masculinity means to us all, and what healthy masculinity looks like as opposed to toxic masculinity, especially in the gay and queer male community. This will include exploring common words and phrases often used by gay and queer men like Top and Bottom, Masc and Femme, and how these can be terms that both help us as well as force us into boxes that prevent us from really discovering who we are. Come and listen, come and share, and most importantly, come and learn what it is to move through life as a liberated and free man. Our goal is to create a space where we all can walk away more curious and excited to discover who we are and how we can unlearn those toxic and harmful messages and behaviors that prevent us from being fully confident and comfortable.
4:00-5:30 pm “Cowtheys and Cowbois” with Kell Arbor (Temple)
Join Kell for this educational dialogue exploring who is a "man" and how do we be more inclusive in men's spaces for trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming people. This talk will unpack trans inclusive language and address ways we can create inclusive practices. Come with your questions. This is a safer space to ask a trans/gender non-conforming person those questions you may have. This is valuable to Easton participants because the world is shifting into practices to be trans/gender non-conforming/non-binary inclusive. Having space to talk about trans identities and create welcoming spaces is important for all groups to think about, especially ones that have been gender specific

Saturday - Why We Need Pride
What does pride mean to you? What is it to live a life that is full of pride? How can pride help us heal as individuals and as a larger community of brothers? This reflective discussion will focus on what pride means, what it means to liberate ourselves from heteronormativity and discover who we are as gay men in the world today. Our time together will focus on the wonderful importance of cultivating a prideful heart. (written by Anthony Dissen)
Sunday - Queer as a Verb
We have been bombarded with images and messages about toxic masculinity. Here, we are challenging stereotypes. We are looking to queer ourselves, seeing queer as a verb. Not being trapped in “male” or ‘female” boxes, but queering our expressions, to support our most authentic selves. (written by John Ollom)
