Singles Weekend 2025

About the Community Share

On Saturday and Sunday morning, we will gather in groups to discuss a topic. (Topics TBA). The group leader will introduce the topic, and each member will have a few minutes to share their thoughts and feelings about it. We encourage everyone to participate, as this activity fosters bonds among participants and provides an opportunity to explore and learn about topics that may not typically be discussed in our daily lives. If you are unable to attend, please inform your group leader. Your group number and leader's name will be announced during the opening circle, along with the meeting location.

    • OR - Building Daily Energy Medicine and Heart Coherence Practices - with Brad Brockman (Temple)
A powerful way to start your day is with daily practices that ground you and guide you to a heart-centered approach to life. This workshop will train you in two proven and complementary practices that have transformed my life—as they can transform yours—in just 30–40 minutes each morning. The first is a daily energy medicine practice developed by Donna Eden. It activates the body’s natural healing energies by stimulating the body’s meridians and restoring energy flow where it may be blocked. The second practice you will learn is basic heart coherence training, as developed by the HeartMath Institute, which since 1990 has offered evidence-based practices that teach us how to live more from our hearts and less from our minds and thoughts. I will also include some Qigong grounding practices taught by Lee Holden. In addition, I will offer one or two optional practice sessions before we leave Easton and provide resources for continuing these practices from home.

  • 8:30 am – Breakfast

  • 9:45–10:45 am – Community Share (Various locations)

  • 11:00 am 12:30 pm – Be Magnetic: See Yourself Through the Eyes of Love - with Mark Anthony Lord (Great Room)
You’re not broken, invisible, or “too much.” You’re radiant, and it’s time you felt it in your bones.
Be Magnetic is a high-energy, heart-opening experience for single gay men who are ready to trade self-doubt for self-love. Through a series of simple yet powerful exercises, you’ll have the opportunity for other men to reflect back the brilliance you’ve been ignoring due to the noise of self-judgment. You’ll also have the chance to affirm others, because as you practice seeing the good, the beautiful, and the amazing in someone else, this too activates a radiating of these qualities in yourself. What you see in another is what you are too! By the end, you’ll hold living proof that the stories in your head are flat-out lies. You’ll stand taller, speak bolder, and walk into the world as the magnetic man others already see.  Come ready to laugh, maybe cry, definitely connect, and leave with a new set of eyes—your own, now tuned to love.

    • OR - Playful Touch with Moss Tidd (Temple)
Through games, sharing and play, we will explore ways of touching and being touched that are fun and sensuous.  Activities and clothing are optional. This is a safe space to grow.

  • 1:00 pm – Lunch

  • 2:30–3:45 pm – Full Contact Hugging - with Carlos Covarrubias (Temple)

Do you think you already give great hugs but want more practice among friends? We'll build your skill through practicing ten hugging exercises from holding hands to full-heart, full-body, full-contact hugging.

    • OR – Creating a Profile and Letting Your Light Shine - with David Grotell (Great Room)
Getting started can sometimes be the most difficult part of dating. This workshop will help you focus on the quality of connection, as you begin to date.  You want to date with a spirit of kindness, affection, and love. This means practicing bravery, and leading with your heart.  For online profiles, the workshop will encourage you to craft a self-description that allows you to put your best foot forward. We also practice some questions to ask on a first date, and learn how to share what you are passionate about, and to encourage your date to do the same. You will have the chance to work together with others, in a totally safe, stress-free, and non-judgmental space.  Everything will be done with a spirit of loving kindness.

  • 4:00–6:00 pm – Bare Essence: Form and Feeling with Eric Dusseault (Great Room)
A workshop that invites artists of all levels to explore drawing from nude male models.  Our approach will be process based (rather than end product based) and experimental. We will start with a series of quick, gestural poses that emphasize expressive mark-making and fluid motion, and one's personal response to the poses. Throughout the session, artists will be encouraged to experiment with materials and approaches for capturing not only the physical form but also the raw, emotive presence of the models. The experience will conclude with a reflective dialogue, offering participants the opportunity to share their creative insights, discuss the making process, and connect over their artistic interpretations." Overview: This experimental figure drawing workshop  invites artists of all levels to explore drawing the male nude as a vessel of strength, vulnerability, essence and vitality. The models will be both a focus and point of departure for exploring drawing as a communicative medium.

But it is also for those who have lost others who were close to them, and those who are interested in helping friends who have suffered the loss of someone who had been close to them. Through journaling, discussion, and compassionate touch we will explore the questions: (1) how can I help myself when I’ve suffered the loss of someone close to me? and (2) How can I help a friend who has suffered loss of someone close to them?
