One of the workshops during the 2010 Labor Day weekend was an art workshop. It started with the participants in pairs. One of the pair, after taking off some or all clothing, lay down on a large piece of brown paper. His partner then traced the outline of his body on the paper using a crayon or felt-tip marker. The partners changed rolls. Then each person decorated his own image using poster paint, glitter, and whatever else he wanted to add. All of the art became the backdrop for the talent show, and the images were preserved in John Derych's photos. So, thanks to him, we can now see what was done.

There's no record of who painted what, but if you recognize your image in one of these photos, please let us know in a comment to this post.

The Labor Day Weekend Retreat has morphed into Q-Topia, "a long weekend to bring together and expand all the colors of our vibrant queer community."  What better place for artistic exploration! Watch the website for further details.
