Johnny, aka Snowy Wilderness, has always known he would grow up to be a sex educator and erotic community leader, but that vision has truly begun to take shape over the last few years.
What prompted him to step into the role of kink facilitator was the collective brush with mortality brought on by the pandemic quarantine. Through BateWorld, he found a unique outlet in the group masturbation parties that Philadelphia Jacks began to hold online and became a regular attendee.
When vaccines finally became available—in a rapid turnaround he directly credits to the gay male effort to fight AIDS during his fraught years of growing up and coming out (having been born in 1980) with training the United States (and French!) medical establishment to anticipate and facilitate—he proposed to Albo, the founder of Philly Jacks, that if Albo would keep Philly Jacks Online going administratively, he would take over hosting duties.
Since then, beginning in 2021, he has hosted hundreds of Philadelphia Jacks Online’s Hours Of Penis Power. With this gig as his step into the world of erotic community, Johnny has become a regular at New York Jacks and Faucet, NYC Inferno’s monthly watersports party, as well as a frequent participant and facilitator with the Body Electric School, where he currently leads a monthly ‘deconstructed book group’ called Reading Our Leaves: A Book Club About The Gay Experience.
As a writer, he is currently working on a history of the sex positivity movement that also serves as a memoir of his sex-positive life—a life that closely tracks and owes much to that history. He is also preparing to launch his erotic community website Bators Love Sex, as well as to hang out his shingle as a Sacred Intimate. An artist whose work documents his eros, he is preparing to make that work accessible online while maintaining an active studio practice that interested parties are invited to see and participate in as he prepares for his next gallery show—at NYC Inferno.
